Cmbio is a rapidly growing company at the forefront of microbiome research.
MS-Omics is a legal entity of Cmbio that combines first-class analytical and data processing services to provide a broad range of metabolomics platforms that support Life Science research. We are looking for an analytical scientist for our metabolomics laboratory located in Vedbaek, Denmark. Our mission is to aid our customers in gaining a deeper insight into the underlying mechanisms of their studies.
We are looking for candidates with the following profile and qualifications:
Required qualifications:
- A relevant PhD or a minimum 5 years work experience in analytical chemistry
- Experience with LC-HRMS/MS for small molecule analysis
- Full professional proficiency in English
Experience within the following fields will be an advantage:
- Sample extraction of different biological complex matrices
- Working in a GxP environment
- Instrument and method validation
- Gas chromatography
You will be part of a leading metabolomics team with many highly skilled colleagues
You must be able to work independently and display a structured and high-quality work approach. You have great problem-solving abilities and a positive mindset. Your position requires you to interact with several stakeholders throughout four different sites which will require you to form good relationships with your colleagues within the different teams of the company. Our customers are often scientists from other scientific disciplines working on a diversity of different projects so good communication skills are required for the position.
Job description
Your main responsibility will be the management and execution of the laboratory- and instrumental analysis of client projects. Furthermore, you will contribute to method development, improvement, and validation. You will contribute to the maintenance and troubleshooting of our LC-HRMS/MS. You will assist in different tasks from the development of quality control procedures, development, and implementation of new procedures and workflows, protocol maintenance and implementation, sample management and laboratory routines. You will report to Stefanie Riegels, Director of Metabolomics laboratory.
